Set 121: 1930s Kluson 3 on a plate open back tuners for slot head as found on some National and other quality slot head guitars of the pre-war years.

The plates are marked “Kluson Mfg Chicago Ill.” Nickel plate, brass barrels and gears and off-white buttons. Set 127: Late 60s/early 70s Grover G-98 “Stay-tite” tuners in nickel finish.

The first Tube Screamer was the green TS-808 overdrive pro in the late '70s.

It was preceded by the Orange "Overdrive" and green "Overdrive-II" which came in narrower boxes without the battery cover, and the reddish "Overdrive-II" which had a box very similar to the TS-808.

An Ibanez Tube Screamer is an overdrive/distortion pedal that is mild compared to many, but allows the true sound of the guitar and player's technique to come through.This set was once nickel plated but all of the plating has worn off.The planks are marked “Waverly Musical Instrument Products Inc”.All specs are consistent with a 1972-1974 production date.There were only 74 Blonde Byrdlands shipped in this three year time period.One of only 83 Blonde ES-300s produced in 1948, most of which were only single pickup models. Rare Blonde Finish, Carved Spruce Top, Beautifully figured Maple Back and Sides, Large Rounded Neck Profile, and Gold Hardware. The pickguard has typical celluloid crystallization but is intact.Dating this time period of Gibsons is a little difficult especially with the original canisters on the pots making pot dating unavailable.The Ibanez brand name dates back to 1929 when Hoshino Gakki began importing Salvador Ibáñez guitars from Spain.After Telésforo Julve bought the company in 1933, Hoshino Gakki decided to make Spanish acoustic guitars in 1935, at first using the "Ibanez Salvador" brand name, and then later using the "Ibanez" brand name.Gears and barrels are brass, the original buttons are black.Though the plating is worn off the buttons are in excellent shape and all the tuners turn freely with no binding or tight spots.The most popular use of a tube screamer is to push a tube amp to make it overdrive more, but they sound good through almost anything.If you are a geek like we are, check out this awesome article Tube Screamers Secret for some cool info about why the tube screamer circuit sounds so good.Clean cosmetic condition displaying some typical finish checking. A nice clean Byrdland displaying limited play wear.Original five ply pickguard included but original celluloid underside plastic supports have started to deteriorate. The flame on this guitar is very attractive and really dances in the light.
