(Christophe Ena/AP) LONDON -- Ana Ivanovic is retiring from tennis at age 29, ending a career in which she was ranked No.1 in 2008 but can no longer play at the highest level because of injuries.

Many times she would have to train in the morning, so that she could avoid the violence and bombings.

But Vinci, not in great form at the moment and expected to retire by the end of the year, is an unorthodox player who likes to get to the net and rush her opponent.
